Inquiry
This week we had a guest speaker from the Hastings District Council visit us. She talked about Muddy Creek and what lives in there. We learnt about the weed boat that comes through and cuts up the horn weed which is not good for the creek, it takes out the oxygen so things can not live. We had fun looking at some creatures.

What a great experience for the class, awesome hands-on learning. Neat for the children to be able to connect with our local environment. They all look like they are having fun!
ReplyDeleteWe will have to go for a walk to muddy creek with Pippa so she can tell us all about it.
Art told us about the Horn weed and taking the oxygen. Looks like a great session.
